I recently started using Chandler, and I seem to have the same problem Mark
Hayes does... (FWIW, I'm working with the Windows version at the moment - I'll
check the Linux version when I get it compiled, and the OS X version when I get
home.)

Quick Entry box:
At this point, I'm in the process of downloading and compiling my own copy of
the Chandler source code. I may not know what I'm getting into just yet, but
what if I try to modify the code so that pressing the enter key on the Quick
Entry box causes the current item to be submitted and the keyboard focus to be
kept on/returned to the Quick Entry box for the next entry?

Tab key behavior:
I also think it would be nice to modify things so that that tab key would move
the focus from the quick entry box to the detail pane on the right, and then
have it move through the rest of the screen and return to the quick entry box.
Typing text into the quick entry box and pressing tab instead of enter would
submit the item and move the cursor to the detail pane. (Same behavior as the
enter key right now.) Right at the moment, I think the tab key is fubared - I
enter an item in the quick entry box and the focus moves to the alarm drop box.
If I press tab, the focus moves to the content pane, then tab again and focus
moves to the collections box and stops. If I then press the down arrow key for
example, it chooses the next collection and immediately moves focus to the
center pane. If I continue to press the down arrow key, I am now selecting
different items in that collection, not selecting the next collection. At that
point, the tab key doesn't appear to do anything, and shift-tab doesn't move
focus back...

Delete key:
Mark, would you check to see if you have the same behavior I do? I selected
the "Work" collection, and then entered "test" in the quick entry box. I
pressed the delete key and the item disappeared. I then typed "/f test" in the
quick entry box, but it didn't return any result. However, I selected
"Dashboard" and the item was there...

Oops, looks like my RHEL4 Linux make command just blew up...
"No module named pkg_resources"
"No module named _md5"

Sigh, back later...
