Just to clear up a possible simple fix - assuming we're talking Chandler desktop - you are actually in week view? Clicking on the column header that says, e.g., Wed 29 will switch you to day view, with that day's entries spread across the whole screen, possibly giving the impression that it's a weekly item. The day headings (Mon-Sun) still appear, but one will be underlined to show which day you're viewing. Clicking on the word 'Week' will take you back into week view, and clicking on the month name at the top takes you to month view (click the week number down the left-hand side to get back to week view). It might be worth trying that, just in case you've accidentally switched views - I know it's caught me out on a couple of occasions.
