My apologies. I'm very quick to reply to email and often cause too much
traffic. Some will be repeat, but below are all my answers.

When I work with Windows, its XP. The version of iTunes is v9.0.3. My
normal usage is both in a VMware v2.0 virtual machine running on my
Linux box (XUbuntu 8.10).

No. Never have, never will. :)

n/a

Only apps, MP3s, and MOVs.

Yes, both. Also note, the update to 3.1.3 fails miserably under VMware.
I had to perform the update to 3.1.3 on a second machine with a native
XP OS. Once that was done, I restored my data from backup on the VM
(virtual machine)...not that I had all that much data to begin with.
The iPod was about 2wks old.

Both. I was only able to get Read-Only before the update. After the
update I tried again but using Chandler Hub. That's when I found it
worked Read/Write with the Hub, but only Read with the Chandler Server
Bundle. So both.

> Can you recall the version of iPhone OS prior to the update?

Yes. I had v3.1.2 from date of purchase (as I mentioned, only about
2wks prior to update).

No it is not. I placed the trailing slash and I still (at least now)
get a "verified" account, but no events showing in the calendar. When I
go back to review the advanced settings, no is no more trailing slash.

Also, it may be of interest to you that when I had 2 collections on the
Chandler Server (1 uploaded {published} via Chandler Desktop and one
created right there on the web application) *both* collection names
showed up in the calendar app on the iPod when listing possible
calendars (when viewing the calendar itself, the upper-left has a button
labeled 'Calendars' which allows you to view individual calendars or all
of them. However, neither collection had any events on the calendar itself.
