OK, now I'm re-ordering and abbreviating things to figure out possible next
steps ...

With those two answers we can probably discount the possibility that Windows
has synced, maybe read-only, to iPhone OS, an event that's in Windows
Calendar or Outlook. <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3191>

Recollections
=============

a) at least one of the three iPhones (none of them mine) configured by me
was less than 3.1.x at the time of addition/reconfiguration of the CalDAV
account for the updated Hub

b) at least one of the three iPhones probably had a configuration for the
Hub that /prececeded/ the Hub update to 1.1-SNAPSHOT-r7367-2010-02-13T10:46

c) I suspect that on at least one iPhone that was configured for the Hub
/before/ the Hub was ready, I ultimately removed then recreated the CalDAV
account.

Is any event on the Hub copied from your Chandler Server, or vice versa?

When copying, think: UIDs. If iPhone OS receives the same event from
multiple sources, or via multiple protocols, it might be intelligent enough
to present that event no more than once (and maybe, read-only).

I see the same symptom on one of three iPhones -- the one that's described
in <http://n2.nabble.com/-tp4639688p4639688.html>.

I was about to suggest a next step, trying an version of iPhone OS
 * earlier than 3.1.2
 * ideally 3.0.x
 * (I might find someone at the office in that situation)

Over, now, to <http://n2.nabble.com/-tp4647934p4648094.html> to think about
the word 'filter' ...

The traffic and quickness are fine :) but off-topic from Chandler, I'm
curious: what's your e-mail client? In the Nabble view of things, some of
your posts (example <http://n2.nabble.com/-tp4648015p4648015.html>) are not
threaded. I just want to make sure that we don't have an issue with Nabble.

Thanks and regards
