Week ending Friday 19th February, whilst configuring the iPhone of my colleague Howard Rush (hjr21) to work with CalDAV service from Chandler Hub, I:
1. switched the device to airplane mode 2. connected to eduroam. Repeatedly, something prevented us from add the CalDAV account. Carelessly, I didn't make a note of the message, but it was along the lines of 'unable to verify account' or 'could not make secure connection', something like that. Initially I suspected an interop issue with iPhone OS 3.x and the Hub but then, we tried to add Howard's MobileMe account to the iPhone. Again, repeatedly, something prevented us from adding an account. Suspecting a networking issue, I: 3. disabled airport mode (connected the iPhone to the usual service provider) 4. disconnected from eduroam — after which, no problems adding MobileMe and CalDAV accounts. I'm not sure what to conclude at the moment, but it's possible that iPhone OS has an issue with SSL in some types of network environment. -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/iPhone-OS-3-x-Wi-Fi-SSL-could-not-add-MobileMe-or-CalDAV-accounts-tp4648064p4648064.html Sent from the Chandler users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list unsubscribe here: http://lists.osafoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/chandler-users Chandler wiki: http://chandlerproject.org/wikihome
