All,

Google Chrome has an add-on that correctly puts a mono-spaced font in
all text Gmail emails. It is unsurprisingly called:
"Fixed Width Text for Gmail™"

Below is a copy of a session from J 6.02, copy and pasted directly
into Gmail, in a Chrome browser.

   < each 3 3 $ i.9
┌───┬───┬───┐
│┌─┐│┌─┐│┌─┐│
││0│││1│││2││
│└─┘│└─┘│└─┘│
├───┼───┼───┤
│┌─┐│┌─┐│┌─┐│
││3│││4│││5││
│└─┘│└─┘│└─┘│
├───┼───┼───┤
│┌─┐│┌─┐│┌─┐│
││6│││7│││8││
│└─┘│└─┘│└─┘│
└───┴───┴───┘

If the boxes don't look right and you have a Gmail account, use Chrome
browser and install the add-on. Works great.
