I have a copy of "Mathematical computing in J--Volume 1, Introduction"
by Howard A. Peelle (Research Studies Press, 2004), who died in 2017.
Was Volume 2 ever published? I can find no mention of it in standard
book sources. Here is the (proposed?) contents of Volume 2 as it
appeared in Volume 1:

I fear that Volume 2 may have never been published. It's a great pity
if that's true!
