My IEEE senior membership causes me to occasionally get noticies of interesting meetings & presentations. This upcoming May 1 Communications & Vehicular Technology (CVT) presentation sounded interesting.
Hi CVT community, On Tuesday, April 20, Intel gave an interesting Webinar presentation to CVT on "Intro to oneAPI and to Intel® DevCloud". OneAPI is a solution to deliver unified programming model to simplify development across diverse architectures. It includes a unified and simplified language and libraries for expressing parallelism and delivers uncompromising native high-level language performance across a range of hardware including CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs. Increasingly, communication, DSP, and VTS engineers have requirements to simulate and implement their systems. oneAPI is a tool to support these tasks. The talk was an introduction to oneAPI and addressed: 1. How oneAPI can solve the challenges of programming in a heterogeneous world. 2. The Data Parallel C++ (DPC++) language and oneAPI programming model. 3. Introduction to Unified shared memory that is part of DPC++ new features. 4. How to Onboard to Intel® DevCloud to test-drive oneAPI tools and libraries. 5.
