I've been using a font with ligature support in VSCode and Windows Terminal for a while now. It means for example that when I type the 2 characters >=, what displays on the screen is ≥. It's made me wonder whether there would be any merit in creating a font that would display J digraphs as single symbols. Obviously there'd be significant work/discussion in designing appropriate symbols, and I have no experience or real clue about how involved creating a font is, let alone one that optionally supports ligatures would be.
