[freenet-chat] question about anonymity.

Well, I just started checking out freenet webpages.  It seams that even 
freenet cannot truly guarantee anonymity.  Since only closed source 
implementations of java are used one cannot be sure that no backdoors 
are inserted by government agencies or the like. Is there a reason why 
freenet doesn't support open source implemantations?
