I was wondering what the current state of the FastCGI support is for
Cherokee. I know that it's not complete, but how usable is it? Any
documentation out there that I might be able to take a look at and try
it out?
After the wonderful work that ALO did with the CGI support for Trac,
it's just oo slow. The performance isn't with cherokee, it's with Trac
and the performance hit it takes having to load all the modules on each
request.
I tried out the FastCGI support from LightTPD, but don't get me started
on their configuration or how that turned out. So I decided to revert
back to Apache for the time being, but, not surprisingly, the beast is
giving me fits of it's own.
I'm absolutely smitten with the Cherokee config and long for it's
simplicity and elegance. If someone can point me in the right
direction, perhaps I can help out in the development of the FastCGI
support, if only a tester.
