IMHO, that's some sort of layer-8 issue, really. I like to think that Cherokee is a modern web server that has nothing to do with those old days procedures. It felt cool when back in the nineties we edited text file in order to configure your IP address, but times have changed. Now, computers are easy to use (eeePCs, iPhones, even the Linux desktop!), everybody is connected to the Internet, and people do not need become gurus before they are able to set up a little blog on their home DSL lines. That's basically the reason behind Cherokee-admin. So, independently of how good the interface currently is, I'm certain that the final target is right.
