I think you mentioned this before... but if that is true, then why do
you default to unix sockets?   I shared your feeling that TCP sockets
were better, we used to use them with Zeus Web Server years ago, and
we bound over TCP because it was more reliable, for some reason. (
Well, I guess the reason is TCP :)....

So, TCP sockets are more reliable, and similar speed.. then I should
change my stuff to use them?
