Cherokee used to support multiplexed requests. However, since many FastCGI applications did not support it (properly), I felt it was a waste of resources to continue supporting that code. Today the de-facto FastCGI standard is just half of the FastCGI standard, actually. It's a pity but I don't think there's much we can do at that respect.
