No, the codec hasn't been dropped just yet. It's still going to ship
in versions of Chrome for probably the next 6 months. Even still, the
browser should fallback and let QuickTime handle the playing. Like I
said, the files play locally or from other servers; just not when
served from Cherokee.

Right now the issue is getting a "connection close" header usually, or
sometimes even crashing the browser.
