In the case of embedded devices, it's specially interesting to run a FastCGI
server. It won't create spikes in the memory usage of the system. Besides,
it will help you to have a much clearer picture of what memory is being used
and what's still free -- not to mention the huge performance improvement.

Isn't the regular --enable-fpm/--enable-fastcgi parameter enough?
