I also have a 12 bolt rear in my '65 Chevelle convertible. I've been able
to decode my car as a V8 malibu conv, but haven't been able to determine the
original engine size. Is this information available in the trim tag? I'm
curious as to whether or not my car came with a 327, and if the 12 bolt rear
is original. I bought the car with a 350/th350, 12 bolt rear, and front
discs. The girl I bought the car from didn't know any of it's history.
