i guess everyone differs! guys , i have chrome valve cvrs and timing cvr on my 471 and don't have any leaks. on valve cvrs i have cork gaskets and dont have any sealer, and they don't leak at all. joe

The problem with a chrome or just about any aftermarket timing chain cover is that they don't fit exactly like the stock one. Personally I would powdercaot the stock one.
