Second, a camera rig can and often does scratch or damage the car. I know a guy whose quarter panel trim got crushed and he was not able to replace it. Alternatives include towing the shoot vehicle and having the camera on the tow rig, and shooting from a chase vehicle.
The film company is supposed to give you a certificate of insurance that names YOU SPECIFICALLY as the payee in the event of damage, and the amount of coverage. No insurance, no deal. Personally I know how much you value your car and I would advise you not to do it unless you are willing risk the damage/loss.
