I have been doing bodywork for almost 30 yrs. now and in my experience there are no perfect panels. Even new sheetmetal from the Big 3 has to have some rework done on it before it's perfect. The thing to remember is you get what you pay for. If your buying 1/4's buy the full quarter , they always fit better than skins but they will still need some massaging to fit.
Patch Panels are the worst, Partial skins are better, Full skins are even better & Full Panels are even better & Factory NOS is nervona.

in year ones catolog they grade there replacement sheet metal parts 1 thru 5.for the most part
it seems that the complete sections get a higher rating and the smaller patch panels are not of the same quality.
has any one replaced a below the back window panel on an el camino...results

Well it's a sure thing that nothing beats NOS stuff, but it's hard to find usually and very expensive.  Most of us, at least I cannot, afford to pay the price for it when it is available.  I have heard the best feedback about the stuff the Goodmark sells.  I personally have had panels fit, and ones that didn't.  My worst experiences have been with  replacement 1/4 skins.  If I could go back, I would get the full repro 1/4 instead of the skins.
