I'm not sure what T56 will bolt right up,Andre. However,I think you can buy a new T56 that will bolt up to a Muncie bolt pattern. Has anyone seen or heard of these? A T56 or Getrag 5spd behind a big Rat would make a nice combo. Any of you ACES members remember that Black '70 SS El Camino with LS6,T56,and 18" Budnik wheels that was in one of the ACES magazines? That was a killer ride. If possible,I really want to convert my ProStreet 69 over to a ProTourer by changing out the rolling stock and re-working the suspension on both ends. Will know more when I get the car home and check out the undercarriage more closely. Anyone building a prostreet car that might need some serious rolling stock? Lemme know. The T-56 of off an ls-1 wont fit a sbc or bbc due to dífferent bolt circle. this can be done if you change the bellhousing. I'm not 100% positive but i think one of an lt-1 will fit, can somebody confirm this ? Clint: Did you get the el camino you went looking at? my friend built a nice 496 last winter for a super comp dragster. eagle rods and crank, je pisteons, internal balance, concrete filled block with spalyed mains, roller cam, dart heads and intake, a nice billet holley. he ended up at around $ 12000 Kind Regards André ----- Original Message ----- From: "Clint Hooper" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, November 30, 2002 3:10 PM Subject: Re: [Chevelle-List] source for T-56 transmissions > I don't know where to find a used T56,Mitch,but I think I know where to ask. > Try www.LS1.com I bet the guys over there can help you out. > Clint Hooper > LT5 Registry Director > Wichita Falls,Tx > (940) 855-6636 > '91 ZR-1 Callaway Aerobody > TX TAGS: USA ZR1 > http://www.LT5Registry.net/ > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Mitch Barrie <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > > I am in the market for a T-56 gearbox.
