this could be a somewhat timely thread for me.

I recently found my "dream" car in the auto-trader -- a '70 convertible with
4sp! (at an affordable price) I called and got an answering machine, but if
the car is still around, I'm pretty serious about picking it up if the major
stuff is in reasonable shape.

My question is this:  What kind of things need to be looked at differently
when shopping for a convertible?  I've owned my '70 hardtop for 13 years, so
I'm pretty familiar with the car in general.  Anything specific I should
look for?

I think he is talking about a manual convertible top vs. a power convertible
top, not a coupe vs. a convertible.

I have the same question and wonder what is involved in adding a power unit
to my 64 manual convertible top.  Anyone know?
