this could be a somewhat timely thread for me. I recently found my "dream" car in the auto-trader -- a '70 convertible with 4sp! (at an affordable price) I called and got an answering machine, but if the car is still around, I'm pretty serious about picking it up if the major stuff is in reasonable shape.
My question is this: What kind of things need to be looked at differently when shopping for a convertible? I've owned my '70 hardtop for 13 years, so I'm pretty familiar with the car in general. Anything specific I should look for? -Dave -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, December 31, 2002 11:54 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: RE: [Chevelle-List] conv. tops I think he is talking about a manual convertible top vs. a power convertible top, not a coupe vs. a convertible. I have the same question and wonder what is involved in adding a power unit to my 64 manual convertible top.
