Well Jim with the 66' Mali tried to help me out with my timing problem. I changed to the timing chain and everything.... Now everyone that comes over tells me I bent or burned and valve. I'm no mechanic by far and have come up with the conclusion that I will need another engine. Does anyone have any suggestions or an engine for sale? What engines will fit in my vehicle?? Any and all comments would be greatly appreciated.
If it is possible I'd like to get away from the points and all that. I want to move up to an 'electronic distributor'?!? And I've got A/C if that makes a difference...

Best bet, get a ZZ4 crate motor, but you can put amy motor you want in it be it a 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350, 400, 396, 454, 502, 572. Upgrading to HEI ignition is very simple, all you need is a distributor.
It does not necessarily have to be a bent valve, it could be a bent pushrod which is easily fixed, might want to check those out before buying another engine.
