Thanks Tom... I'll check on that ZZ4 crate motor... I wish I knew what the difference between what a valve, lifter, and pushrod was :) ... I'm gonna check my Haynes and see if I can figure it out. Jim told me that by putting my notches on the timing sprockets together that I set the timing to the 6 cyl or 180 degrees out of timing. I tried to set the timing correct and turn the distributor 180 degrees.. it would even start then. So no matter what it spurts gas out the carb like the engines going... turn, turn, turn, spurt... turn, turn, turn, spurt... I'll look into those pushrods.
