Yeah, I’ve got the summit ones and there are a couple that I need to use a wrench to put in and take out and some with a socket and wrench.

I thought that was just part of the joy of having headers.

Brian, Mainly you need to be sure you specify which plug angle you have when buying headers. On my 327 with straight plugs and Hookers, all my plugs are very easy to change except #6, which is directly behind a tube.

So, on heads that headers fit fine with straight plugs, do the angle plugs make it easier to change plugs?

I'm not sure of all the answers, but I know that some headers will only will only work with angled plug heads.

So, what are the advantages or disadvantages and/or reasons for using angled plugs or straight plugs in a small block head? Do they work better with headers? Better spark angle for better ignition? Just looking at the options on aftermarket heads and was wondering which is better for what applications.
