Good illustration,Herb. My Viper T56 has a 1.0 (1:1) ratio in 4th,a .75 ratio in 5th,and .50 in 6th so a 4.11 or 4.30 will be probably what I end up with for a rear gear. One things for sure, I think I will try to concentrate on my body work (down to bare metal now & disassembled) until its done.   If I was to go with a Richmond 6 speed I would hate to miss out on the price of I think 2600. But I also don't want to have too many more irons in the fire. I still don't understand how the engine would affect the trany. Seems to me 1 or 2 more gears would be a good thing, just gear the rear end to fit. Just my thoughts. Dan PS I seen your pic that was posted on the trans tech.
