I figured you ment the center section. The 60 are a tough find for some of the steeper sets.

I have heard about the powerloss through numerous trannys out there and would like to get the chance to see the actual difference there too... but when my car is too heavy for a glide and too powerfull for a th350... well that kinda leaves you with a few options.

You should be losing around 15% through a manual trans and around 18%
through an auto trans,unless you're really running a loose converter. On our
ZR-1's,we use a conversion factor of .85 to figure our hp at the clutch.
Sorry about the 3rd member goof. What I meant was a mag center section.
Another potential problem with Dana 60's is a small selection of gear
ratios. Lots of high numerical ratios but not many low numerical ones. A 9"
has the best selection there.
Yeah,Toyota does put some good stuff in their drivelines. Supra twin-turbos
are another example.
