If you are going to work under the dash wear a long sleeved sweater and
not a t-shirt or you will bleed from your arms....

On a 68 to take the speedo out you will have to lower the column if I
remember well, nothing special, just remove the plastic cover underneath
the column, take the three nuts off and lay the steering wheel on the
seat.

You need to remove the dash to get the speedo out, I
have had my dash out a couple of times, it's not hard.
