Pete,  I'm with you. A lot of the selection depends on the type of rims.
Polished Centerlines - call for blackwalls, factory steel rims with dog dish
caps - blackwalls.  Aftermarket, aluminum rims = blackwalls.   Corvette
rally wheels - B.F. Goodrich  T/A  RWL showing. :)
