Just remember that a coolant recovery system is different than a simple
overflow can. The coolant recovery system requires a different radiator cap
and overflowed coolant generally runs into the BOTTOM of the recovery
canister. Coolant is added to the canister and not the radiator when
coolant is needed. When the coolant cools back down, it's sucked back into
the radiator. A simple overflow container system uses a regular pressure
cap and generally fills from the top and must either be removed to be
emptied or have a drain at the bottom. Replacing coolant is done by
removing the radiator cap.
