recently i installed a tilt column in my 68 chevelle- with the automatic shifter on the column (both the old and new column had this and the column came out of the same year and model car.)
when i back the car up it sounds like it is partially in park- kind of makes a grinding noise. i tightned the nut on the trans linkage( on the trans itself) thinking that was the problem, it was loose. it still made the noise and when i put it into park, it now is stuck and i cannot get it out of park!!! there is a rod with a nut on the linkage- does anyone know how i would go about adjusting this?? or do i have another problem??
