Dave, Did the door get into the quarter? I see where the fender got the door. My guess is you'll have to do some frame straightening to that right side frame horn where the bumper bolts on. They like to bend there. Don't ask me how I know :) As long as it bent in front of the control arms you should be OK.
The good thing is nobody was hurt. My 69 took a hit like this in 1978. Took it to the body shop and they fixed the front horn on the frame along with the front end and door. It looked great but never seemed to track right. When I removed the body for my frame off restoration in 92 the frame was bent right where it goes up over the rear tire. Who would have guessed that an impact like that would travel all the way down that frame rail and do damage in the rear section like that? I hope your is much less extensive :) Trooper ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chuck Speake" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'The Chevelle Mailing List'" <Chevelle-list@chevelles.net> Sent: Sunday, July 03, 2005 4:29 PM Subject: RE: [Chevelle-list] Bad Long week end Glad everyone is alright. Hope they had good insurance because it looks like a lot of work and more than a few bucks to fix it. Around here with bad luck you would have come up with an uninsured driver and would have been SOL. For some reason she decided to try to make it and I was too close and couldn't get it stopped in time. Everyone is fine. I am thankful we were in the Beaumont and not our little Honda. They do take a good hit. She was charged but now I have to get the hot rod fixed. It doesn't look to bad in the pictures but it needs a bunch of work now. I am now looking for some parts. Any help is appreciated. <http://home.golden.net/~benj/85c80db0.jpg> http://home.golden.net/~benj/85c80db0.jpg <http://home.golden.net/~benj/85e80db0.jpg> http://home.golden.net/~benj/85e80db0.jpg <http://home.golden.net/~benj/86080db0.jpg> http://home.golden.net/~benj/86080db0.jpg <http://home.golden.net/~benj/86280db0.jpg> http://home.golden.net/~benj/86280db0.jpg Dave Ingersoll,Ontario My web site: <http://members.tripod.com/benj30/> http://members.tripod.com/benj30/
