[Chevelle-list] Front coil springs

Hi Everyone....Hope you all had a great Christmas and got a few parts for yourselves under the tree... I was reading on a website(can't remember which one now) that some people have actually cut a few coils off their front springs to lower their cars a few inches....Has anybody here done this and is it a safe thing to do..???..I have seen drop spindles and such for lowering but haven't heard of slicing a coil or two off your front spring..... John
