If you use a fan and proper shroud you should be OK.  I had no 
problems until my clutch fan came apart.  If you choose an electric I 
would dig out out of a newer vehicle.  I am running a twin setup out 
of an early 90s's F-body.  They fit my 70 radiator pretty well and 
pull enough air.
