I have a customer saying that her Chevelle was in a flood and ended up in
about two feet of water. She says that she and her husband are afraid to

to start the car because they assume that water got into the engine. Do

guys think that two feet of water would be enough to cause engine damage?
I
would imagine that air in the exhaust pipe(s) would prevent it from
getting
in that way, and gaskets should be watertight, right? If that were all
true,
wouldn't the water have to be above the intake to get in? How would you
go
about checking it out? Pull the heads and see if the pistons are rusty?
