Thanks. I think I would like to not bother pretending that it's an SS and put the Malibu & 350 badges back on the fenders, and leave the Malibu trim on since it is so nice. I saw the 1970 paint chart and maroon metallic (looks like #78) is really nice. The car was originally medium blue metallic (#25). I'm not wild about red #75. The Castillian Bronze (dark red) #67 is nice. The bright & dark blues and the buckskin, dark green, dark grey mist, and dark taupe are all nice too. I think dark taupe might be my fave. I'll have to see a real paint chart rather than one on the web.
There's a medium gold one and a dark green one in my neighborhood.
