Different animals, but I know that on some Oldsmobiles of that era, if you
got a power antenna, it was mounted in the back. I've never seen it on a
Chevelle before, but it looks nice.

  I noticed the same thing... Mine is all original and mounted on the
pass fender as well. It seems like I have seen the rear mounted for
different options. Mine is just the mono AM unit... what about yours?
