Thanks for all the replies! I don't think I want glass packs on my Chevelle, but, it's a thought. I'm just afraid that the Flowmasters have become the standard sound and I would like something different. How much does header choice affect the sound vs. muffler choice?
Thanks again,
Mark

And Chuck, I would love to take you up on your offer, if I ever make it to Chicagoland. (I'm in L.A.)

Hi Mark,

Mine is an original 70 350 with a few modifications, with no internal
changes but it has a really nice sound. I have Sanderson headers leading to 2 1/2 pipes with 40 series Flowmasters and SS oval tips. I live in the Chicago area if you are within the same area fell free to contact me and come on over and listen or meet. I have gotten quite a few complements at
shows on how it sounds.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Exhaust

I have a 71 SS Convertible with a 90's 350 motor. I want to upgrade
the exhaust from the motor to the tips. I'd like it to sound more
old school and I don't want it to sound like a new Mustang if you
know what I mean. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark
