Depending on the backspace, you can probably run a 255 on those 15x7's. Most Cragar SS wheels tend to come with insufficient backspace, though,so that's something you need to be aware of,Jim.

Anyone know how big a tire I can run on my '69 Malibu with 15 X 7 wheels.  I bought a set (4) of new, chrome, Cragar 5 spoke mags a few years ago knowing I wanted them on my car.  I didn't think (or know) at the time to order a larger wheel for the back.  I was thinking I would run  the Cragar's with new tires for driving around and save the rally wheel's with the F-series red line tires, for car shows or similar events.

Maybe I should put a pair of these up for sale and buy the 8" rims??
Any help suggestions are appreciated.
Jim

Clint or anyone, what would be the widest tire I can put on the back of my 66 using 15x8 wheels with a 4.5 inch backspacing?

Thanks,

I think you might be able to go wider but I'm running P275/60 R-15's, with the same
wheel & backspacing.
