I have a 454 with TH400 from a 73 Chevy C10 that I will be swapping over but the motor mounts are different. I purchased a set of mounts from the parts store but they don't fit down over the frame mount. The frame mount is about 1/4" wider than the opening of the motor mount. I looked on-line at different suppliers and parts stores but they all appear to be the same part number. Do I need different frame mounts or is there a different motor mount I'm not finding? My step-father thinks there were two different motor mounts. The Chevelle I have did not come with an engine so I don't know for sure what it had originally; it appears to have been a SBC. From my searches it looks like the frame mount and motor mount for a 350 to 454 are the same and the motor mount for a 307 is a different style. Any help is appreciated.
