You can use the 307 motor mounts on the 307 up, but for higher horsepower/torque or especially racing applications, you should change the frame mount. The 307 mounts do not have the metal safety latch. If they break they seperate and the engine will rise up. Could be bad news.. Safety sez to change the frame mount.......and get the correct motor mount with the latch... In the old days a log chain across the engine held it down.. ds

If you have an original 307 car, you will need to use 307 engine mounts for whatever you decided to put in. 307 mounts will bolt on to and chevy V-8 engine. The 307 frame stands and engine mounts are also wider than the 350/big block ones. 350/big block cars have shorter frame stands and taller engine mounts.
