I like the idea of something bright....but I think diamond plate would look tacky. When I think diamond plate, I think of tool boxes, trailers, garages, etc. Not firewalls. The stuff would be really hard to keep clean. If you want something bright.....here's what I would do. I'd get some sheet metal, and fabricate a piece that will fit on the firewall. Making it bolt in, not welded. Use the cowl vent holes, booster holes, heater holes, and your own attachments as needed. After you get it to fit perfect, go have it chromed. It will give you that bright look you're after....chrome just looks good, and its easy to clean. You wont have to polish it, or polish all those little bumps in diamond plate.

All these are my ideas/opinions...not telling yah what to do. Just trying to give yah something to think about. But let us know what you decide!
