I really think it all depends on the individual dog. My female chi is
so loving, non-destructive, loyal, laid back, not hyper at all, and
was really easy to potty train. However, I have a friend that also has
a female chi and hers is totally the opposite. A lot of the
personality of your pup is going to depend on how he or she is treated
as a pup. If you allow the kids to "rough-house" (as much as a chi can
take...lol) with it, the puppy will be more hyper/energetic. Where as
if you mostly cuddle it and hold it, it will be more likely to enjoy
that more and want to just be a lap dog. That's what I did with Fifi
and she just wants to lay in my lap and be loved on. However my
friend's husband kept their pup on the go all the time and now she
can't even sit still long enough to be pet. I guess it's all up to
what you want in a dog. Being that your pup will be a little older
when you get it, I'd ask the breeder what the personalities are of
each pup and not worry about the gender. Just my opinion. :) Lacey
