In this scenario, sounds as if you may just be better for her than staying with the breeder then. But my oh my how it angers me that a breeder could be so careless!!. I think so far, you have gotten the basics. Chis are prone to low sugar...and you have the med for that. Just be real careful handling her and even letting her wander, because they can get in tiny places where you can't get to them, they can easily fall off furniture and steps and break bones, and believe it or not, it is very easy to accidentally step or sit on them...they run pretty fast and are under your feet or butt before you know it and can be seriously hurt by this. If any concerns arise, just get on and ask...I am sure someone will be around to help. :-) Sad that your baby had to leave it's momma so soon, but sounds as if she is lucky you came along.

I dont think the breeder really wants to fool with her. She was the only one in the litter and her breeder didnt even know the mom was pregnant. Breeder didnt even find her till her eyes where about to open. Shes already in a cage by herself. Thats why i said i wish i could go on and get her now but i dont need to cause of Thanksgiving. But ill be there to get her Friday after i shop and from that point on she will be with me 24-7. Im a stay at home mom and all my children are in school all day so im by myself. Ill have plenty of time to devote to her. Anything i need to know to make it better for her please let me know. Im open to any and all advice........

But a chi pup should not leave its breeder till at least 8 to 12 weeks. Keep
