To me it seem that 6lbs is the standard too. But I
have a pure breed chi that is 8bls. Sometimes I
wonder if he is really mix with something else. The
person I got him from say he is purebreed chi. She
got him from a breeder. To me he looks like a chi but
he is just big. He is still a puppy too. He is only
7 and a half months now.
My Misty was a pure breed smooth coat chi and she weighed 10 pounds. She was over weight though. Chance is a pure breed chi. he is long haired he weighs about 11 or 12 pounds and he isn't over weigh. I know their both pure breed because I saw both their parents. They were not related or got from the same breeder. Betty
