welcome to the group and congrats on your new furbaby. Either
he has never been housebroken in the first place or else the change of
environment has thrown him off or caused him to go around marking. Either way,
it is annoying isn't it?
First thing to remember is that to properly housebreak him is
gonna take time and patience. It isn't gonna happen over night. Regardless of
WHY he is doing it, you need to start all over just as you would a pup. Confine
him to a small area, preferably a crate, when he can not be supervised. When he
is out and about, the first sign of looking for a place to potty, give a stern
NO and take him to where you want him to go. Stay there until he does go. I have
stood in one spot for a half hour before! When he does go in the right place,
praise like there's no tomorrow!!
Time and patience....time and patience.
Marsha
