Although I don't do it personally, it is perfectly acceptable to breed son to mother, but not daughter to father. (or I may have that backwards!! lol) It is also ok to breed grandson to grandmother, ect. It is called line breeding and it is recognized by the AKC as a legitimate breeding method and you see a lot of it in champion dogs. Marsha
