Thanks Sue. My Chi looks great to me, but I was concerned she was so much
higher than standard 6 lbs. My Rita is probably 10-11 lbs now. Love of my
life. Best dog ever.
It's a relief to know some are bigger.

I have 2 chi's from 2 different breeders and the male is 9lbs and
female is 10 1/2 lbs and they exercise all the time. They are both muscular and
fit. Just larger! Not a thing wrong with them. (you should see them catapult
off the couch chasing each other)

Subject: [Chihuahuas] overweight chi

Hi.. So I love my Chi who is just about 2 yrs old. She weights way
more than the 6lbs they say is right. She gained a lot of weight after
she was fixed. The vet suggested cutting her wet food down which we
did. We don't feed her people food. She still has not lost much
weight and I wonder if she can lose some. She is pretty lazy and loves
to nap, but I'm trying to get her out for regular walks.

Any suggestions? Should I worry if she's over 10 lbs?

Ed
