After Gipsy past because of a suger shock my vet hat told me to give a littel 
Honey than bring them to the Vet.

I still would not. Honey is hard to digest. It will not kill them like it can a 
baby, so it can be great for emergencies if nothing else is available, but it 
is too hard on their systems, imo, to be a regular thing....or at least not 
nearly as good as the nutrical.

When I got Cesar, the breeder, who has bred Chis for 40 years, gave me a list 
of care instructions, one of which was to add a squirt of honey (and even told 
me the brand name of the one to buy) in his drinking water each day.  When I 
took him to the Vet for his first visit, the Vet read all of the instructions 
and approved me following them.  So, I continue to put a squirt of honey in 
Cesar's water each day.
