Well, at least she's showing you she's feeling better.  Why don't you leave her 
in an x-pen when you can't watch her (until she is all healed up)?  You could 
put a bed and toys in there to make her comfy.  That way you will know she is 
safe from jumping on the sofa.

Perhaps I shouldn't have gone back to work yet!
When I got home, after being away approximately 6.5-7 hours Jabby, the
6lb Chihuahua had managed to leap from the floor onto the sofa, and
then onto the back cushions of the sofa. This was one of her usual
residing spots before she had surgery on both knees for luxating
patella. She seems a bit sore, might be a bit of heat around the
joint, a slight limp, although she was using that leg to scratch
herself.
What do I do? Aaaaaaaaaack. ..everything was going so well!
